Foot and Ankle Pain

Overview
Pain in the foot and ankle doesn’t just stay in your feet; it actually throws off your whole body!
Maybe it’s that sharp pain under your heel when you get out of bed? Maybe your ankle feels stiff after a walk, or your arch tightens by mid-afternoon? It’s frustrating, because even a short trip to the store can feel like a chore.
These are signs your body is overcompensating. You’re likely holding tension in your lower legs, shifting how you walk, or carrying pressure in places that aren’t built for it. That’s where targeted bodywork makes a difference.
During the session
- This isn’t just about "rubbing your feet."
- We start by feeling how your foot carries weight - where it’s locked down, where it’s overworking. We look at what happens when you move your ankle, how your calf feels when it relaxes (or doesn’t), and how that connects to your balance and stride.
- Then we go to work - clearing out tension, creating movement, and helping your foot trust the ground again. That might mean pressure along the sole, stretching along the ankle, or releasing the deeper tissues that pull with every step.
- The change might be subtle: less tightness when you walk, better weight distribution when you stand.
Treatment Recommendations
We offer 30, 60, and 90-minute remedial or relaxation treatment sessions, chosen based on your condition:
- 30 minutes: Spot treatment: heel pain, stiff arch, or mild post-injury recovery.
- 60 minutes: Best if you feel the issue in both feet, or the discomfort rises into your calves or knees.
- 90 minutes: For people who consistently alter or adapt the way they move/walk for months, or if this problem is a result of compensating frrom a hip or a back problem.
We recommend weekly treatments for up to 3–5 sessions, especially if walking, standing, or exercising feels limited.
