Lymphatic drainage massage, also known as manual lymphatic drainage, is a gentle form of massage used to relieve painful swelling in your arms and legs caused by lymphedema. Lymphedema often affects people recovering from breast cancer surgery.

A lymphatic drainage massage is a two-step process:
1. Clearing: This step releases lymphatic fluid in your tissues.
2. Reabsorption: This step moves your lymphatic fluid to your lymph nodes.

Our clinicians and therapists are professionally trained to assess your eligibility for this highly-specialised massage. Both the assessment and the massage session will make up the 90 minutes of this appointment.

During this session, should you wish to, and if not already done so, a treatment plan may be designed to help you recover from a specific musculo-skeletal condition. Recommendations such as stretches, ergonomics, and other lifestyle changes may be provided to enhance your wellbeing at home. Both the assessment and the massage session will make up the 90 minutes of this appointment.
